Spring is here and summer is approaching and it's time to pull out those smokers and grills. What better way to start the season off then with this sweet and spicy salmon dish served with a side salad and you favorite beverage.
Ingredients:
Skin on salmon
2 tsp oil
1 1/4 tsp salt
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp paprika
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp black pepper
Direction
Prepare your smoker as usual (if using a kettle style grill use the in direct method)
Pat salmon dry and brush with oil.
Combine all dry ingredients and sprinkle dry rub on salmon
Place salmon skin side down on grill/smoker (if using indirect method place on side opposite of coals)
Place cover on top and let the smoker do its job
Depending on smoker: temp for 220 F usually takes around 2 hours. it will take 1 hour to 1 hour and a half at 250 F
